[EDIT:]

 Release is uploaded here:

http://stigatle.net/uploads/maratis/Maratis_3dsmax2012x64_05.11.2011.zip

changes:

 17:34 05.11.2011
New shader GUI.
fixed various physx things.
Added note in physx modifier about importance of pivot.
added basic spotlight support. with shadows.
more error handling.
new sample scene.
Diffuse texture works (just make sure you use mapping channel 1).

Today has been a great day for the exporter!
I have fixed many bugs, and Konstantinos Mourelas has been working on the shader.

We also sorted out a important "bug" that had to do with the physics objects.
The pivot NEEDS to be centered on export for it to behave properly.
I've added a note about this in the modifier itself.

I added spotlights too, they have shadow support.

The exporter is stable and works great, very fast too.
It's a blast to create something in 3dsmax, then 2 seconds later it's inside maratis.

I will release a new version tomorrow after we've fixed some more stuff.

new release - first scene exporter

31.10.2011

New release!

Download link:

Fixed items:
  1.  first version of main GUI is implemented.
  2.  Maratis physics modifier is made.
  3.  support for omni light
  4.  support for free camera.
  5.  exports mproj (maratis project file).
  6.  exports .level file.
  7.  copies texture maps to maps folder.

this one exports your whole scene to a maratis project!
It also copies the diffuse texture to the maps folder.

Please note that the scripts is under development.
I know there are bugs, (when it cannot find files, when wrong shaders is used and so on).
all these bugs are being taken care of, first I fix the "main things",
then go through everything and make it stable.

How-TO:
  1. Put maratis_physics and maratis_shader in scripts\startup folder.
  2. put maratis_exportmesh in scripts root folder.
  3. the dlx file goes to your plugin folder.

Start up max, load the supplied scene.
run the Maratis_exportmesh.ms script to open the GUI.
browse to a empty folder (the script will create all needed folders).
and export it.
open the mproj file in Maratis - and enjoy :)

Known bugs:
There is a mismatch between the graphics and physics on some objects.
I'm looking into it (it's the way I'm exporting the vertex xyz pos).
Layer feature is not implemented.
Copy textures checkbox is not active at this time,
it copies regardless of checkbox status.

either way, it's as you know work in progress... :)

Added "hard" link to all maratis exporter posts on this site:

http://stigatle.net/index.php/maratis-3dsmax-exporter

 New version.

Fixed issues:
Uv mapping.
Simple diffuse shader is created.
Added simple test scene.
Added simple batch export script.

 Note:
Remember to manually copy all used texturemaps to the maps folder in your maratis project!
I will improve this to be more automated in next release.

Todo:
Full shader support (like in the blender plugin).
Animation export
Full scene export -  including the "level" creation (by using 3dsmax's layer system).
Lights, camera's, phyics modifier, and so on. Stay tuned for more cool updates soon ;)
